> A new Seminar from Lacanian Compass New York begins Wednesday, Sept 20th with monthly classes through April 2024. Registration is now open.

What is a Lacanian Psychoanalysis?

How does a Lacanian analysis begin and proceed? What makes it different from other forms of analysis and psychotherapy? The Lacanian Orientation aims at the real, but how do we do that on a one by one basis, and what is the end of an analysis? These are some of the questions that will orient our 2023-2024 Seminar.

We will focus on Jacques-Alain Miller’s Analysis Laid Bare, a new book containing three lectures from 1998, recently translated into English for this publication. We will begin with this text in the fall and then add further texts in the spring that we will put in dialogue with this text.

We will meet seven Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm NYC time via Zoom. A link will be sent to all participants the day of the meeting.
