As part of the Dialogues: Psychoanalysis and Culture series, Lacanian Compass presents an online conversation exploring the effects of writing on the speaking being.

This event brings poetry and psychoanalysis into dialogue to reflect on writing beyond meaning and communication, considering its impact on subjectivity and language. The discussion will also reference the film Sing Sing (dir. Greg Kwedar, 2023).

The conversation features George Franklin (poet), Florencia F. C. Shanahan (psychoanalyst), and Alicia Arenas (psychoanalyst), and is coordinated by LC psychoanalysts Liliana Kruszel, Guida Diaz, and Jared Elwart.
